Certificates of Insurance

It is Accident Insurance Company’s (AIC’s) policy for the retail agents to have the authority to issue ACORD Certificates of Insurance (COIs) for the given insured after we have issued a binder or confirmation of coverage.
The ACORD COI wording may not be modified without prior written approval from Accident Insurance Company. Any modification to the standard wording or statutory references is considered outside the agent’s authority.

The COI may not be used as an endorsement or change request. Any policy changes must be requested in writing to AIC. Discretion is to be used when providing COIs and, if for any reason, there is a question as to whether a COI is appropriate, please contact AIC at:
